Nashville - Grand Ole Oprey

This was our first time in Nashville.

Here, we are looking out over Nashville from our hotel room.

Nashville, often known as Music City, is the capital and most populous city in the state of Tennessee

Looking across the Cumberland River at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans.

A small park along the Cumberland River.

Of course, when in Nashville, the first thing you do is check out the Honky Tonks on Broadway street.

Looking down Broadway, also called Honky Tonk Highway.    The Honky Tonk's are open until 3 am with live music every day & no cover charge.

The Honky Tonks didn't meet my expectations.  I thought the music would be country but I found it to be more hard rock.  And loud.  Didn't do much for me.

We checked out the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.  I don't know much about country music and found the museum to be only mildly interesting.  I was happy to see that Jerry Reed and Charlie Daniels were in the Hall of Fame though.

A fancy convertible with all leather interior, studded with silver dollars.

Of course I liked the Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am!  Jerry Reed actually owned this car for awhile.
